Karl Prosser legt uit hoe je van PowerShell een portable appliactie kan maken. Met portable bedoelt hij dat je het op een USB stick kunt zetten en met XCOPY naar een willekeurig systeem kunt kopieren waarna het werkt (zonder installatie dus).
Op deze manier is het mogelijk om 2 versies van PowerShell naast elkaar op een systeem te hebben, zelfs op Server Core waar het volgens Microsoft niet draait.

Op het blog van het WSUS team meldt Microsoft dat de WinVerifyTrust update voor WSUS een verplichte update is geworden. Microsoft geeft deze update die status waardoor de update zich automatisch op WSUS servers zal installeren.
Waar heb je deze update ook alweer voor nodig, hoor ik je denken. Het zorgt ervoor dat Vista Service Pack 1 niet continue opnieuw gedownload zal worden zodra deze aan WSUS systemen wordt aangeboden.

Nokia heeft Symbian gekocht en gaat het OS combineren met Series 60, UIQ (Sony & Motorola) en MOAP (NTT DoCoMo) om er een open-source Android killer van te maken.
Men heeft er meer dan $ 400 miljoen voor over om de andere partijen in Symbian uit te kopen. Het nieuwe platform gaat Symbian foundation heten. Overview
Transporter Suite contains a set of tools for migrations from both Lotus Domino Servers, and generic IMAP/POP sources. For Lotus Domino the suite contains a set of tools for Directory and Free/Busy interoperability between Lotus Domino 6 or 7 and Exchange Server 2007 and Windows Server 2003 Active Directory. In addition for Lotus Domino the suite contains migration tools to migrate users, groups, personal address lists, mailboxes, personal mail archives, and applications from Lotus Domino 5, 6 or 7 to Active Directory, Exchange Server 2007, and Windows SharePoint Services 3.0.
