De 5100 scan engine van McAfee gaat end-of-life per 1 februari 2008. Dat houdt in dat alleen nog de 5200 wordt ondersteund. Wie nog niet geupgrade heeft moet dat dus snel doen.
In principe zou iedereen al over moeten zijn omdat McAfee deze engine actief pusht met DAT-updates.

Henrik Walther heeft een artikel geschreven over het beheer van een Exchange 2007 CCR cluster met service pack 1 d.m.v. het bekende Exchange Management Console.
In SP1 is dat een groot verschil t.o.v. de RTM-versie. Hier ging tenslotte nog alles via cmdlets in de Exchange Management Shell.

Het was al bekend, het 1e service pack voor Exchange 2007 werd verwacht. Maar afgelopen zaterdag werd het eindelijk vrijgegeven.
Voor OWA gebruikers is het nu weer mogelijk Public Folders goed te gebruiken. In de eerste release zat de feature er niet in, Microsoft hoopte dat bedrijven zouden overstappen op Office Sharepoint Server. Daarnaast wordt nu ook Windows Server 2008 ondersteund.

Microsoft heeft een cumulatieve time zone update uitgebracht voor Windows. Alleen Windows XP, Server 2003 en Vista worden ondersteund.

Windows Server 2008 heeft de status bereikt van Release candidate en in dat kielzog komt Microsoft ook met de opvolger van Windows Server 2003 Computer Cluster Edition. De 2008 versie hiervan gaat Windows HPC Server 2008 heten, waarbij HPC staat voor high-performance computing.

The Sidebar presented a great opportunity for Outlook to surface the same information that we show in the To-Do Bar.
