Microsoft organiseert binnenkort weer de TechNet en MSD briefings. Er komen allerlei zaken aan bod zoals de nieuwe features van Windows Server 2003 R2 maar ook het beheer van Exchange (door 'onze' MVP Steven van Houttum). Ook de presentatie Windows 2003 SP1 Terminal Services en Citrix Presentation Server 4.0: Wanneer kiest u voor wat? is interessant.
De data van de briefings zijn 27 april, 2 en 11 mei.

Neil Hobson heeft deel 2 van zijn artikel over System Center Capacity Planner online gezet.

Microsoft heeft haar vooraankondiging weer op het web geplaatst i.v.m. de updates van april.
Het betreft deze keer 5 updates waaronder de cumulatieve update voor Internet Explorer waarmee het lek van het recentelijk ontdekte CreateTextRange probleem.
Van deze 5 is er een update die betrekking heeft op Windows en Office, de overigen hebben alleen betrekking op Windows.
Deze maand is er geen non-security update, wel een update voor het Malicious Software Removal tool.

Overview
Use the Microsoft Exchange Server Profile Analyzer tool to collect estimated statistical information from a single mailbox store or across an Exchange Server organization. The collected data can be used for such tasks as analyzing the performance and health of a server that has mailboxes, improving capacity planning models, and improving testing methodologies and tools.
Prior to upgrading to this version, users should backup the default Profile Analyzer configuration XML file if any customizations have been made.
Important Notice: The Microsoft Exchange Profile Analyzer tool collects information related to user activity on production mailbox systems and can be used to generate aggregate user profile statistics for sets of Exchange users. Before using the tool in a production environment, you may wish to ensure that your collection and use of this information is consistent with the privacy and other laws of your country.
